This app is good if you don't have access to your tv (as in you don't want to move or someone is using it), but it can prove to be laggy if you don't have a stable connection and the gameplay is similar to that of playing in a friend's share play. It only gets 3 stars from me because the UI isn't great (holding touchpad you have to double click which ends up tapping twice and same with l3/r3) and it constantly says controllers aren't supported, when I successfully connect a controller and use it
I'm getting my controller fixed so this is the next best thing to buying an offline controller, but it's got issues. The app only connects to consoles you're logged in on so logging in on someone else's system is a no go. Buttons are oddly misplaced so playing games is also out. This basically leaves it's only function to be accessing Netflix, but only the PS button becomes accessible at that point even though they could just remove the already minimized screen on top.
If you have a good internet connection then it is good for when you need to be in a different room, but don't want to haul your PS4 elsewhere. Long distances aren't too great, but I've yet to fully test it. Another issue is that you can't use any video apps while using the app(YouTube, Netflix, etc.). 1st person games are also nearly unplayable due to framerate, but most 3rd person games look, and feel fine. Other than that everything else works pretty well.
My PS4 controller will not work with this app on my Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. Even though I am using Android 10 and my PS4 is up to date. My phone CAN connect to the PS4 controller for navigating my phone, but for some reason, this app says it is not compatible. Would be 5 stars if this could work with the PS4 controller.
Not what I expected. Thought I would be able to play my PS4 from anywhere in the world by logging into my Playstation account with this app. Nope! You gotta be on the same network. That means I can only play my PS4 while I'm in my house with this app. Why would I wanna do that? Maybe if my TV was broken or something? Otherwise, it's useless for me.
